Dra. Susie Andries Nogueira
An infectious disease specialist and retired professor from the Department of Infectious Diseases at the School of Medicine of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Dr. Susie Andries Nogueira passed away on Thursday, March 16, in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro.
In addition to being a brilliant and committed professional in the field of infectious diseases in Brazil and abroad, her humanism and dedicated attention to each patient she treated were admirable and inspiring. It was this way that she conceived and chaired the Smile Project, in response to the concern to assist children infected with HIV, an unforgettable exercise for all those who were able to share with her in this wonderful project.
With our eternal gratitude for the opportunity to be in her company, we express our condolences to her family and friends in this moment of profound loss and great longing.
