2017 Medtrop brings up Environment and Tropical Diseases: challenges for countryside and cities

The 53rd edition will have four registration prices and special discounts for early registrations

For four days, Cuiabá (MT) will host one of the greatest medical-scientific events. The theme for the 53rd Congress of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine (Medtrop) – which expects over 2,000 participants – will discuss Environment and Tropical Diseases: challenges for the countryside and cities. According to the local chair of the event, Doctor Marcia Hueb, The website can already be accessed. This years edition brings a differential: special discounts for early registrations, with four different prices depending on how early the registration is placed. For example, the registration until March 25, for BSTM associates, will cost R$ 350.00. If the registration is on-site, it will cost R$ 600.00. Like the past edition, during the 53rd MedTrop, other events will take place simultaneously. Two very important and traditional national meetings: The Chagas and Leishmaniasis Applied Research and National Research on Malaria. The local chair expects a great Congress, consolidating the initiative to add Tropical Medicine national and international meetings, as leishmaniasis, Chagas and malaria, among many others, which will have their space in the 54th edition, in 2018, as Travel Medicine and tuberculosis. We are walking towards a single annual event which will present the best we have in research and development, gathering both researchers and services professionals, and graduate and undergraduate students, she stresses.

Doctor Marcia also highlights the deadline for abstract submission will be May 25. Each abstract can have up to 10 authors, and each author can submit up to four abstracts.
