The president of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine (SBMT), Dr. Júlio Croda, met with the Secretary of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Health Complex (SECTICS), Dr. Carlos Gadelha, on the afternoon of Thursday, February 9th, at the Ministry of Health, to present the proposal for planning the scientific program of MEDTROP. On the occasion, Dr. Croda formally invited Dr. Gadelha to attend the event and participate in the opening ceremony. "I appreciate the invitation and I commit to participating. It will be a great pleasure to be part of this moment and this important scientific event," said the secretary. Dr. Gadelha took the opportunity to signal total support from his secretariat and interest in contributing to a joint science agenda for Brazilian society.
MEDTROP will be held in Salvador (BA), between February 10th and 13th, at the Salvador Convention Center.
